WHY D.C.I. ?

Merging  innovative design, novelty products and artisan craftsmanship, D.C.I.,  supports and creates a stunning backdrop to every lifestyle. An  intentional blending of art, décor from National and Global resources,  our first-rate professionals lend vision and expertise, so that by design, every possibility has been reinvented for you.

  • Design      – The art of multi-disciplined design - furniture,      accents, rooms, studio-art, lighting and more
  • Products      – Showcasing abundant      selections of mid to high-end goods and custom services
  • Consulting      – Facilitating creative solutions across every facet of      the design process

A consortium of designers,  craftsman and brokers, we invite you to experience a truly unique idea.  Together under one roof - and across the globe - we merge the services  and products normally found in several places. Combining our appetite  for design with our love for custom work and international product, our  clients enjoy robust access to endless resources under one roof. Our  mission, our joy, is to create countless possibilities to create a haven from the frenetic world – by design.

Our design process starts with an initial consultation to discuss your needs and preferences. From there, we create a design concept and present it to you for feedback. We then refine the design and manage the implementation of the project.

At D.C.I., we believe that an environment should stimulate the senses and engage the eye. Our philosophy is centered around creating spaces that are extensions of their owners, where every element blends seamlessly with the client's life. We strive to design interiors that gradually reveal their beauty over time, unfolding layers of detail and craftsmanship.

Our spaces are characterized by subtle statements, understated elegance, and unobtrusive functionality. As you walk into one of our designs, you might notice an object from afar, then appreciate its texture, details, and the interplay of its scale with the surrounding furnishings and architecture. This careful attention to detail ensures that even larger pieces integrate harmoniously without overwhelming the space.

We aim to enhance our clients' standards and elevate their living spaces, crafting unique, personalized environments that truly feel like home. Our commitment is to create a tranquil, refined atmosphere with a touch of understated luxury.

Digital Concept Interiors (D.C.I.) specializes in designing residential spaces, including estates, vacation homes, apartments, condos, and cooperatives. We also serve commercial clients, creating office spaces, restaurants, and boutique retail environments. We are proud to say commissions included work in Embassies and ceremonial rooms of government. Our portfolio additionally extends to geriatric design and downsized senior apartments.

We've customized interiors for luxury automobiles, including Mercedes Benz, Porsche, and Lexus, and refitted a 56-foot Trumpy motor yacht. Our projects range from 1,500 to 100,000 sq.ft., with extensive experience in properties over 10,000 sq.ft.

We carefully select our projects, seeking interesting clients and unique architecture. For us, it's more than just a job. Our process and workshops, whether in-house or through partners, ensure we meet each project's demands. Let's bring your vision to life!

Small Purchases or Intricate Project: Your business is valued at D.C.I.

They are common threads seeped into our DNA – respect and appreciation. Whether a customer drops into our showroom to pick up a vintage accent  or invites us to design a decadent master suite, each one matters to us.

It’s a surprise at times, isn’t it? The kind of service we offer here isn’t just personal – it’s intimate. Despite today’s manic frenzy, we take time. We ask questions. We listen. We glean your sensibilities to make recommendations to match your lifestyle and aesthetics – not our own creative visions.

Our  unique approach blends the linear practices of an engineer’s mind, with  the passion and nurturing of a creative soul. We map work-streams,  floor plans and timelines seamlessly to deliver what is promised – a  refurbished ottoman that perfectly accents your studio; or an updated  living space in which you can entertain, nurture, or relax.

Because  we’re an agile organization, we effortlessly adjust according to the  needs of our clients. Whether entering our showroom for 5 minutes or  working with us for 5 weeks – we deliver the same devoted service and  attention to detail.

Process: From first Connection to Project

Chances  are you’ve received a referral to D.C.I., Our “Top Tier” clients –  those with whom we anticipate spending a generous amount of time – often  arrive by way of a friend’s personal invitation, and we’re grateful.  What happens next? Let’s review a sketch of the process we’ll follow as  we determine our needs and execute your project from dream to  completion:

Phase 1: Intake

First, we slow down, and we listen. Art is not hurried, and neither are we in the initial stages of getting  to know our customer, the project, or the product. Because we believe  breaking bread together lends intimacy, we make the appropriate  invitations. This time is important to us as we discern the layered  nuances we may not observe elsewhere. It is also a chance to interview us – is ours a suitable match?

During  this phase we may offer a tour of our corporate studio or stroll  through a local museum to observe responses to key elements – art,  fabrics, accents, pieces. Together, we get inspired. Next, we get down  to the business of identifying and defining the project, gathering the  varied teams necessary to

proceed.

Phase 2: Fulfillment

When  we’ve made a determination to move forward, the next phase encompasses  gathering necessary details to define the project’s scope – whether  simple, average, semi-complex or complex. During this phase, we nail  down every possible detail by engaging in the following:

  1. Site Visit: At this point, we make plans to study either the space or product D.C.I., will design or refurbish.
  2. Catalogue/Appraisals: We carefully inventory the items included in the space – furniture,  accents, lighting, etc., encompassed in the project and conduct  appropriate appraisals.
  3. Exclusions: If our client wishes to keep, or shop for a particular accent personally, we photograph the item/s for      exclusion.
  4. Define the Concept: During this time, we form a general concept of the project’s scope and  engage in architecture sketches, product design, room layout plans, etc.  while      formulating a loose idea of timeline and finally,  considering an estimate. (A deposit is often required at this point.)
  5. Contractual Obligations: Depending  on the scope, our contractual obligations are as simple, or as complex  as the project requires. Typically, we invite clients to make a       deposit at this point, and we assume responsibility in full for the  piece, or room on which we are working[DM1] .
  6. Garner Sample Materials & Prototypes:  We  take time      to garner just the right materials – accessories,  artwork, bedding, carpeting, flooring, lighting, textiles, wall  coverings, etc., and put into motion their fabrication, restoration, or  production.

Next, it’s time to get down to business.

Phase 3: Delivery

During  this, the beginning of the final phase, we assign a project manager to  serve as a primary point of contact. We outline a more specific  time-frame based on the information at hand and carefully monitor  progress of the varied craftsman, designers and/or artisans working  toward completion. At this point we outline and implement any warranty  issues regarding restoration, fabrication, etc. We take pride in an  expedient completion, but we also carefully navigate unforeseen  circumstances.

Phase 4: Retention

Once  a project is completed, our work doesn’t stop. We continue to remain  accessible to our customers and engage in 3-months and a 12-months  post-follow up visits. Our highest compliment is paid when a customer  invites us to contribute to another project, or refers us to friends,  colleagues, or family members. In that spirit, D.C.I., continues to  generate equity in your project and earn future business within your  community. Once the project is complete, we guarantee our work

The design process varies depending on the scope of the project  and the services required. Typically, the design process takes between  4-6 weeks from initial consultation to final implementation. This really  depends on the clients timetable, our solutions answering the design aesthetic, client resources and flexibility. We have done televised projects consisting of ten to twelve rooms in just under ten days, the project was 3,500sq.ft  on three levels.  Our firm and partners work seamlessly together on centralized leadership of a Project Manager. This enable us to provide a 90% all custom interior.

Our principal designer has completed remote library installations valued at $325K. It's important to understand that true interior design and decoration is an investment, and clients should have a budget in mind before starting the process.

Most firms, including ours, generally require a draw-down account, depending on the client and project. Contact us for a consultation and quote. We believe the two-hour consultation fee is worth it to outline the project before any work begins.

Clients often compare their expected experience to reality TV shows. As a company that has participated in these programs, we know it rarely turns out or costs as depicted. This misconception can lead clients to believe they can manage the work themselves.

Our virtual, web-based programs are typically about 25% less expensive than our remote support or onsite offerings. In situation where resources might be an issue our free thirty minute consult is the best place to start you can always elevate that conversation into a paid two hour consultation.
